that satisfactorily dealt with the issues and arcs that made the show one of my favourites. (If you're new to the show, YOU SHOULD BUY SEASONS ONE AND TWO FIRST). Unfortunately the "Final" season of the Dead Zone (or the sixth season as it was once called) was disappointing in terms of character focus and story shift; however, it was still overall better than most TV in my opinion and, when push came to shove in the final few episodes, the writers did justice to the fans and gave us a fitting finalé (). That, plus a visit from Johnny's psychic 'girlfriend,' make this season worth owning.

I really hope they make another movie with. stories, we now have to see him bind again with family stuff.boring. But again, it was a great show. stories in it. Instead of continuing with great.
boring.big waste of quality dvd time.
and replaced by (i wont go there) crap.
the main actor Anthony Michael Hall and bring out more great stories.
getting along with.one of the strong characters, the sherriff is killed.
I will now mourn the loss of a great series and re-watch the better episodes.
itself.change of pace.replacement actor/actresses of the ones we were.
One of the best shows on tv, went through so many changes that it killed.

I have mixed reviews of the sixth and final season. I don't know if it is her acting or the terrible lines she was forced to mutter, but it is painful to watch. I count myself as a fan. If anyone would have told me that she would kiss Stillson, I would have probably not even bothered with the season at all. Written by Arthur Bradley, author of "Process of Elimination," - an erotic thriller that pits a martial artist against a world-class sniper out to shape the Presidential election. The loss of the supporting cast is unfortunate, because it was the character interaction (Bruce-Johnny, Rev. Seasons 4 and 5 continued the slide down. that gave the show depth.
Also, Sarah's hot and cold behavior towards Johnny and God forbid Stillson is completely out of character. During this final installment, the new writers decided to just scrap the main Stilson story line and go off on one-show adventures. Everyone looks a bit haggard, but I suppose the actors must feel that way after the ups and down the writers have put them through. Overall, I think this final season is an improvement over the last one.
There are some decent episodes (Big Top, Switch, Outcome, and Denouement) and some poor ones (Heritage, Ego, Re-entry, Interred). By Season 3, the series was slowly losing its way. Unfortunately, all of the other cast except Sarah are essentially removed from the show after episode 1 (I don't want to spoil things, so I'll leave it at that). Please be kind enough to indicate if reviews are helpful. Purdy-Stillson, etc). Each hour introduces some new dilemma that Johnny must confront. I enjoyed the Dead Zone, but in truth I had hoped for something more from the final season.
The acting was spotty, but mostly it was the uneven writing that stood out. It makes her come off as a needy widow in search of a husband and father for her kids - I'm sorry to have to even say that, but it plays out that way. But it ends with things basically where they all started - nothing resolved - the world's headed back towards armageddon, Stillson is still at the helm, and we the viewers are not quite sure what is going to happen next. I sat fascinated during the early episodes, marveling both at the storytelling and cool special effects. First let me say that I have been with Johnny and crew from the very beginning. One thing I noticed was that anytime the new sheriff is on screen, the show suffers.

However, toward the final season the Deadzones story lines lose their mirth. Michael Anthony does a great job in the part he plays as Johnny Smith, however the writers definetly lost there excitement for the story line. But I agree this series ended due to poor writing. I agree that the Stillson ticket was good, but it would have been good to see more about his mother, and maybe purdy being involved in her death. Besides that the series overall was pretty good esppeacially the first 2 seasons. And a lost story line. I have Seasons 1-6 and love the Deadzone. And also, seeing Johnny's son carry on the vision.
