Editorial Reviews:

Red Sox Nation rejoiced as its beloved team reached the World Series in dramatic fashion, having just overcome a three-games-to-one deficit in the ALCS by outscoring the Cleveland Indians 30-5 in the final three contests. There they met the sizzling Colorado Rockies -victors in 21 of their last 22 games and just the second team ever to win their first seven in the postseason. But while both teams came into the World Series on fire, only one continued that torrid pace. The Red Sox briskly swept the Rockies aside to capture their second title of the decade and their second straight Fall Classic sweep.

It's all here. The power of Big Papi, Manny and Kevin Youkilis. The emergence of young stars Jacoby Ellsbury and Dustin Pedroia. Beckett, Papelbon, Dice-K-all the magnificent men on the mound. And thanks to the unprecedented access and wireless microphones of MLB Productions, you'll relive every crucial moment - be a part of the clubhouse celebration-and ride along with Series MVP Mike Lowell during the championship parade.

Boston waited 86 years to end its World Series title drought in 2004. It took the team just three years to win another.

Narrated by Academy Award - Winner Matt Damon

A Gift...

He said that the DVD is very well done and has really enjoyed watching it. I bought this as a gift for a family member and he loves it. He was very pleased with it and he is a die hard Red Sox fan.

From Norway with love...

Now that I have NASN on my broadband cable, I can once again watch baseball as much as I like, but this DVD is something special to me all the same. And my dear Red Sox winning it all again, I was so happy. So exited in fact, that I failed to notice one thing. Confused.

Sure, the Rockies kept testing my patience (I have seen them at Coors Field nearly 20 times without whitnessing a victory). After that I got me a girlfriend from Denver Colorado, and I became a big fan of the Colorado Rockies, and the city of Denver as well. But I would never replace the Red Sox, so I told myself, "hey, you live in a country where you never get to see baseball, you're allowed to have two favorite teams, right." So I said, "I'll have a favorite AL team and a favorite NL team". I reccomend it, wether you love the Rox, the Sox, ballgames or just like hearing about a thrilling piece and moment of sports history. In the meantime I lost my one source of baseball on tv again, so last year was the usual, see some games on the computer, read about it on the internet etc. But all that aside, this DVD is a great retelling of that season, that I largely missed, so for me this is bliss. I am sad the Rockies didn't go all the way, but all the same, what a season.

But when the Rockies got their surge, I was so exited. and the Red Sox would always frustrate you, but then came 2004 and what a joy. And that worked pretty good for nearly 10 years. A Norwegian review of a baseball DVD. Later I visited Florida, but before expansion, so I "only" saw some spring training there.

And what a story. So. Well, I am indeed Norwegian, and I have been a fan of baseball and the Red Sox since I saw Cheers on tv back in the 80's. Well, what is this. They met my other favorite team in the World Series.

NY YANKEES ?? ... 20th CENTURY BASEBALL

After all, how many times does Boston ever win the World Series. Well, I guess, quite a bit lately. The disc is narrated by actor Matt Damon. The DVD covers not just the 2007 World Series against the Colorado Rockies, but the rest of the post-season sets against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and the Cleveland Indians. And the bonus features are almost as good as the DVD, with an always-handy "Play All" function included. If you are a Sox fan, you must have it. Very little of the regular season is included.

Not bad

I was expecting Shipping Up to Boston or even Tessie (which was filmed in Fenway), oh no, we got State of Massachusetts about a woman who lets her drug addiction get in the way of her children who are taken by the state of Massachusetss.great choice folks.great choice.jajaja Even though we're stuck with Fox commentary, it is still fun to watch. Someone in the MLB office needs to view stuff before finalizing their DVDs. As a lifelong Red Sox fan, I can't complain about this DVD. However, I needed to say something about the Dropkick Murphy's video I was so excited when I saw there was something from them on this DVD, however.

Red Sox World Series DVD 2007

It just really takes you through the whole postseason experience the Red Sox had in 2007. Overall, fantastic DVD. The DVD was amazing. Although I myself am a Red Sox fan, I also really enjoyed how much time in the video was spent on celebrating the Rockies historic run.
