I come from the standpoint of being a tremendous fan of the first movie - The Matrix - and somewhat disappointed with the last two with first viewing. Overall the product lives up to its name and I am very satisfied with my purchase. In all honesty, the second two movies will never live up to the first, but they are enjoyable on their own merits. For those wondering about the quality of the Blu-Ray conversion, I can only express complete praise for the picture quality. The packaging is definitely commensurate with the cost of the product, and the inclusion of the first Matrix in a digital copy is a nice bonus (be aware, however, that it is only the first Matrix you are getting in a digital copy). I give this product 5 stars for one main reason, it is truly the "Ultimate" Matrix collection. All three theatrical releases and the Animatrix are now in full 1080p, and if I didn't know better I would swear that the films were all shot using the most advanced technology available today.

Ah yes, and for those dumb enough to say you can make a DVD that is 480 lines of resolution even compare to 1080 lines by 'up-converting' it, your an idiot.yes your right, the screen does display a 1080p resolution of a 480 picture, but its still 480, and nothing is changing that, the DVD cant make extra pixels, you cant make data that isnt there.hahaha its like saying "dont get xbox cuz nintendo will look better because its being upconverted" hahahaha ppl are so dumb.while it may improve the clarity slightly, its only noticeable on the large scale anyway(50"+ tvs) Also, DVDs dont have TrueHD (full uncompressed lossless sound) Picture is stunning, but the real magic is in the sound.who knew 5.1 could get better, then it did, and what better than this movie to show it off. If you dont have a surround sound set, dont bother, just get the DVDs cuz your not really experiencing bluray. I have been waiting for this trilig, and its everything i expected. Unreal.
