I have the songs playing in the background as my students are entering the room or doing independent work. It's a great way to utilize a more non-traditional modality for introduction and reinforcement of material. Teachers, I bought this for use with my Social Studies classes. These familiar old Schoolhouse Rock songs actually do have real information in the lyrics.

He knows the preamble to the constitution by heart, can count by threes, and knows the definition of nouns and adjectives when no other first grader in his class does. I wish there were more editions of this CD with more of the great songs. My first grade son's teacher is constantly amazed at my son's knowledge much of it gained from this School House Rocks CD. This is all due to singing these great songs in the car.

A must have. This CD brings back memories of when I was a kid sitting in front of the TV on lazy Saturday mornings. Play it for your kids and watch them smile.
