what 1080 do i need to get the full blu ray dvd resolution?
i just got a ps3 i have a 32in philips tv it says 1080i when the ps3 config. is that the full potential of a blu ray dvd?
1080P is the true potential of Blu Ray..... however, you can only get this resolution with Blu Ray movies..... ps3 games will give you 1080i. A TV that advertises 1080P is only going to produce that through Blu Ray movies, or true HD DVD's. Cable or satalite signals will not produce more than 720P or 1080i ...... hope this helps.
